Hands down the highlight was the mango sticky rice. Best mango sticky rice I've ever had, ANYWHERE. The sweetest aunty was peeling fresh mangos right in the store front inviting Laotian sausage was incredibly flavorful! With the sauce, amazing combination of flavors. Mini bowl was the perfect portion with 1 sausage, some cucumber and a generous portion of rice.

The best Lao Food in the IE is now closed! What a disappointing day... drove all the way from LA just to see them closed... Everything was great at this restaurant sad to see them closed. Good luck with everything!

I'm so sad to see that they closed!! ): Saw this sign outside when I was craving their Laotian mini bowls again this week. Thank you everyone for all the delicious food. You guys are awesome. Will definitely miss the food here, especially their beef ribs and chicken and amazing sauces. Where else will I find simply delicious rice and meat like this nearby?!

Well so they claim to have the BEST southeast Asian food around.... They are not lying that's for sure. I live across the street from Kai's and have been meaning to try it. Thank god I did. Food was bomb bomb bomb. And as you can see the portions are huge. So next time you're in the Ontario ranch area and you're craving some delicious food, come give this place a try. Till next time my fellow yelpers

Highly recommend getting the Lao BBQ Mix if it's your first time here! You get a sample of most of the protein! It comes with a juicy chicken thigh, tender easy-off-the-bone pork rib, perfectly seasoned short ribs, and an amazing sausage that you wish that they put more of in here! You can choose to get sticky rice or regular steamed rice. Or you can get fried rice for an extra dollar. The plate also comes with a side of garden salad OR you can upgrade to a full sized papaya salad for an extra $10. Honestly, it's worth it. The papaya salad is refreshing and spicy. The food came out pretty quickly, I think I waited about 15-20 minutes. This is inside the food hall so there's lots of available seating. It's also bright and very clean.

We haven't eaten here since they've moved from Corona. We were in the neighborhood and decided to come to check it out. They are located inside the RodeoX building. We were very shock to find this place was so empty and they only had two restaurants and a bar. None of the restaurants have fountain drinks. They do have can sodas or fruity drinks. Refills are $1 for their fruity drinks. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. The restaurant itself is very small compared to the one in Corona. The quality of food was the same. I missed their lemongrass salsa so much and it was still delicious. The prices have went up but I'm sure it's due to inflation prices with everything. If you check in on Yelp, you get a free Thai tea and it's really good. I'm glad we got to stop by and eat some yummy food.

The place is located inside Rodeo X, plenty of spacious parking. I believe it's my first time trying Laotian food and I'm glad I tried it here. I bought a mix combo plate with the fried rice substitute and ate it at the bar inside the building. In comparison to Thai food, it seem a bit sweeter but all the meat was delicious. The sausage was flavorful and juicy, reminded me of fillings inside a dumpling. Bbq chicken, ribs were all really good with the meat falling off the bones. Was a pretty big plate, I had to take it home to eat as leftovers.

As someone who has grown up eating Laotian food, this place is LEGIT. Came to pick up one order of each plate they had on the menu with a side order of jaewbong. Forgot to get their papaya salad but you can't go wrong with ANY of the plates. I'd recommend the mixed option though so you can get a little taste of their top picks. Get the sticky rice! I loved how it was wrapped in a plastic sandwich bag and enclosed in aluminum foil. Even after a night, the leftovers were still soft and delicious! I've had several different jaewbong in my life, this one hits close to home. 5/5 would recommend. Also the plates come with a side salad and the peppers are hella spicy.

The Thai Tea with Soft Serve Vanilla Ice Cream is Ahhhhhhmazing! I came to Rodeo X for something else but the ice cream caught my eye. The staff member was so nice and gave me a big sample of pineapple soft serve since I was torn. But the Thai tea a la mode was different and tastier then I imagined. Next time I'll try bbq but for now... You scream and I'll dream of Thai Tea Ice Cream!

My hubby and I decided to come to RodeoX because we wanted to hit up the Brewery and I wanted to try Kra's Lao papaya salad. So it was a win win! #1 the customer service was top notch! Everyone working was friendly, welcoming, and full of smiles. I really enjoyed the vibe they had going on. I ordered their short rib plate with rice for my husband and I got their papaya salad extra spicy Lao spicy. Because Lao cuisine is suppose to be even spicer than Thai cuisine. I love me some spicy food!!! Now, the short ribs and rice were good but the rice was a bit clumpy but still tasty. The papaya salad was good and it was super spicy!!!! Now, the difference between Lao papaya salad and Thai is that Lao has no sweetness and lime in it Or at least this one didn't. This papaya salad was more heavy on fish sauce and super spicy. I ate it all it was hot AF! Lol I couldn't drink all the juice like I do with Thai papaya salad because it was soooooo hot. Lol I think I prefer Thai over Lao but I'd definitely get this salad again. After eating our food I decided to grab a pineapple dole whip. It was soooooooo good so fresh and refreshing. Omg why haven't we had this before. I feel like we've been missing out. Lol So damn good! My husband and I agree that Kra has some delicious food and that they are definitely on our radar now! You'll be seeing us again for sure :)
